The world indoor skydiving championship in Montreal Cananda are just over. I followed every discipline carefully and my favorite participant was definitely Kaleigh Wittenburg from Chicago Napperville. Normally she is competing with her brother Noah in 2 way dynamic, but for this competetion it was solo freestyle.
When I see her flying or dancing in the air, I can only keep on dreaming of this feeling and realizing I will never be able to do was she is doing on her level. Although it gives me a lot of energy to fly and to keep improving my flying skills.
Lately, I’ve been flying several times at Ice-Mountain-Park with my sister. She took me flying to different tunnels, big ones, but 4,35 diameter is enough for me. I feel safe in this kind of windtunnels and the tunnel is realy cosy.
It’s really difficult for me to find a good position but together we find the best way to get balance with the right exercises. We are not trying to win a championship, it’s all about feeling great, having fun and make improvements.
She gives me some good advice and tips even if we are not flying. It’s funny how sometimes we are having lunch or just sitting in the car and all of a sudden she says : “when you are flying you must think about this or that while flying.” I can really feel her passion for flying.
I am so happy we can now fly together, cause flying is one of the best therapy for me, it’s so great for my muscles and for my mood. I am always excited when we are going tunnel flying and tired when we are driving home from a flying day.
Aspire athletes, Kaleigh and Noah, are competing in January in Lyon and in Spain for some competitions. I hope I can make it to watch them flying live and share my experience with all of you!
