My sister promised me a surprise on Thursday. She just told me to be at noon at the Texaco parking in Groot-Bijgaarden, that’s all. She was a little late because of the heavy traffic but together with my brother-in-law she finally picked me up in her new Tesla. I thought this was the surprise: a little trip in her new car…it was nice but she kept on driving and driving towards Liege until we arrived at the FLY-IN. Only at that point I realized we were about to skydive. I panicked a little because I thought I didn’t have my gear with me, but my sister brought everything with her. Before we left, my mom “smuggled” my gear into the back of the car without me seeing it. I was so happy and excited to fly in another tunnel than usual. And indeed, the pressure is different. It’s difficult to explain, you need to experience it by yourself, the feeling is completely different. What’s nice about this tunnel is the fact that it has a diameter of 17ft and so you have more space to fly. It was amazing to fly together with my sister and having her husband as my coach. I didn’t fly for some time and this immediately gave me this feeling of freedom again and my muscles could relax again, because I suffer from muscle tension. Those moments also give me mental vitality. One thing is sure: I will never stop flying.
Afterwards went to have dinner at “La table de JC” in Gosselies where they organised a “Thai” evening. The chef was a real Thai chef who changed the menu according to my vegetarian needs. It was really delicious and particularly this Thai curry!
It’s good to know that this restaurant organizes a Thai evening every Thursday of the week.
It was a good day!
